Dispute resolution lawyer

I am admitted to practise law in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. I have practised exclusively in dispute resolution and litigation since 2006. I moved to New Zealand from the UK with my young family in 2017. I joined the independent bar in 2022. Prior to that I was a senior litigator for over 4 years at national firm, Anderson Lloyd.

I have extensive experience of negligence claims against professionals such as solicitors, accountants, engineers and architects. I also have varied civil dispute experience, including contractual disputes across different industry sectors.

I have acted both for and against insurers in relation to multi-million dollar claims. I have also spent six months in-house at a global insurer based in London handling claims. I therefore have good insight into how insurers respond to claims from a strategic perspective, and also (importantly) how they tend to approach settlement.

I have appeared in the High Court up and down the country, and attended many mediations over the years (both large and small). I have spent my legal career to date working at large law firms and so I am very excited by the challenge of flying solo as a lawyer, and also becoming a small business owner for the first time.

Instructing a litigator is usually a grudge purchase. It is therefore important that you choose a lawyer that is the right fit for you to avoid further unnecessary stress. I am a safe pair of hands and someone that likes to get the job done.

I very much look forward to helping individuals and fellow small business owners to solve their legal problems.
